Buy

$3.70

42.31%

Morgans retains its Buy rating on LGI and lifts its target to $3.70 from $3.60 following the acquisition of two Queensland solar farms for -$22m.

This 42MW portfolio is expected to contribute around $1.6m of earnings in FY27 and $2.1m-$4.0m annually thereafter at current electricity prices. These numbers are subject to synergies and Dynamic Asset Control System rollout, management explained.

The acquisition lifts LGI's medium-term capacity target to more than 120MW from 80MW, spanning biogas, solar and batteries, the broker highlights.

FY27-FY29 EPS forecasts rise 0.5%, 2.0% and 2.2%, respectively, while net debt to earnings is expected to remain below 2x.

FORECAST
Morgans forecasts a full year FY27 dividend of 2.60 cents and EPS of 8.10 cents.
Morgans forecasts a full year FY28 dividend of 2.90 cents and EPS of 9.80 cents.

Buy

$3.75

44.23%

Canaccord Genuity maintains a Buy rating for LGI with its target price increased to $3.75 from $3.65 following the acquisition of two underperforming solar assets in Queensland for -$22m.

The Chinchilla and Brigalow solar farms offer a combined 54 megawatts of installed capacity and operate completely exposed to spot market pricing without power purchase agreements.

The analyst notes that applying the proprietary Dynamic Asset Control System to optimise energy dispatch will potentially double earnings from the assets, generating an estimated $2.1m to $4.0m in annual EBITDA.

Excess installed capacity creates headroom for battery hybridisation, prompting the commencement of preliminary studies across both sites.

Canaccord's estimates for FY28 net profit after tax and earnings per share increase by 7% to reflect the accretive debt-free transaction.
