Although some market commentators are ringing the alarm bells, admittedly with varying degrees of panic, the analysts at UBS are far from concerned about the direction of equities markets.
In the analysts’ view, the recent correction has left some stocks offering "reasonably attractive entry points." It is UBS’ view that the expected US Fed shift to "on-hold" will provide a positive medium term stimulus to markets and that the US soft landing, attractive valuations and limited interest risk "suggest good times for equities over the next 6 to 12 months."
With this in mind the analysts recommend infrastructure and resources stocks, in particular diversifieds.
