Who will be next ?
It is a question being asked by FNArena’s Greg Peel in an earlier story this morning, but many a columnist/marketwatcher/commentator has asked the question repeatedly, in silence or out loud, over the past twelve months or so.
We could not help but notice a posting to independent online medium Crikey’s Tips and Rumours section, which we hereby bring to everyone’s attention:
“Goodman Fielder, the Australian food company 20% owned by Burns Philp & Co., may be the subject of a private equity bid next month. Graeme Hart has already been contacted about the proposal.”
Goodman Fielder (GFF) shares are currently rated twice as Buy in our database against two times Neutral and two times Underperform/Underweight. Average price target is $2.40.
The shares were trading at $2.46, up 1c, at around 1.45pm in an overall negative market.
