We continue to see a rotation into resource stocks and this should continue to help lift our market higher from here.

Strong jobs numbers in the US have seen rate cut expectations ease back somewhat, but it wasn’t that long ago that markets were worried about recession.

So, the latest numbers are giving us that sweet spot of a growing economy with falling inflation and interest rates.

Today’s technical view is on BHP Group ((BHP)).

BHP broke the downtrend several days ago by rallying hard on large volumes. It then spent the past few days consolidating in the form of a bull-flag on lower volumes.

Price action therefore continues to look bullish and BHP should go on to retest the old high near $50.

Current prices, and any dips along the way, remain a buying opportunity.
