The week that was at a glance

-ANZ-Roy Morgan Consumer Confidence dropped to a six-month low, largest weekly decline in a year

-NAB’s monthly business survey showed a tick up in inflation indicators 

-Employment increased 71k in the last qtr and May employment rose 39.7k; unemployment rate fell to 4% from 4.1%

-ANZ pushes -25bps RBA rate cuts out to February 2025 from November 2024, with a follow up easing in April 2025

-S&P500 & Nasdaq registered record closes on Thursday for a fourth session in a row

-US May CPI print was flat in May and annual rate declined to 3.3% from 3.4%

-US May PPI and US jobless report came in weaker than expected

-NAB forecasts -50bps rate cuts by the Fed by year end and a further -125bps in reductions in 2025
