Overweight

$5.20

60.00%

Morgan Stanley retains an Overweight rating and In-line Industry View for Generation Development with its target price decreased to $5.20 from $6.10 following an FY26 result featuring elevated tax rates alongside reporting structure adjustments.

The business shifted a $13.5m life income tax benefit above the EBITDA line into revenue and outlined expectations for 26% growth in operating expenses to fund near-term expansion.

Management projects GenLife funds under management will grow between $150m and $200m per month during FY27 amid accelerating application volumes.

The analyst lowers FY27 earnings per share estimates by 10% to account for deferred operating leverage caused by this growth reinvestment.

The broker views the structural tailwinds in investment bonds as highly supportive, noting the enterprise captured 59% of recent market inflows.

FORECAST
Morgan Stanley forecasts a full year FY27 dividend of 4.30 cents and EPS of 12.20 cents.
Morgan Stanley forecasts a full year FY28 dividend of 5.70 cents and EPS of 14.20 cents.

Buy

$6.21

91.08%

Moelis retains a Buy rating for Generation Development with its target price decreased to $6.21 from $6.96 following an FY26 result featuring a group NPAT of $40.7m.

The analyst notes earnings per share estimate revisions largely stem from a lower group net tax benefit alongside higher tax expenses.

Management flagged material cost investment in FY27, adding approximately $30m to the cost base primarily across Investment Bonds and Evidentia.

The broker assumes $1.9bn in sales inflows for Investment Bonds and $6.3bn in net flows for Managed Accounts during FY27.

Significant structural tailwinds will likely drive continued flows and subsequent margin performance across the forecast period, commentary concludes.

FORECAST
Moelis forecasts a full year FY27 dividend of 2.00 cents and EPS of 12.10 cents.
Moelis forecasts a full year FY28 dividend of 2.00 cents and EPS of 14.90 cents.
