Citi

27/08/2026

3

Neutral

$13.20

8.29%

Following FY25 results, Citi remains relatively cautious on Flight Centre Travel given lingering headwinds to long-haul travel from Australia. A Neutral rating and $13.20 target are maintained.

First Take: Flight Centre Travel's FY26 underlying profit before tax (PBT) of $278m came in -3% adrift of the consensus forecast, including a -$60m Middle East impact on Leisure. Citi explains heavy investment is expected to reduce first-half FY27 profit year-on-year.

Leisure remains challenged by reduced Gulf airline capacity, travel warnings and weaker long-haul demand, the analyst highlights.

Citi sees a healthy underlying business but uncertainty around the timing and pace of earnings recovery.

Jarden

1

Buy

$14.80

21.41%

Jarden retains a Buy rating for Flight Centre Travel with its target price decreased to $14.80 from $15.90 following an FY26 result that landed at the lower end of downgraded guidance and -2% beneath expectations.

The result was impacted by a -$60m hit to fourth-quarter Leisure profit before tax related to the Middle East conflict.

The analyst notes the company gained market share, and FY27 Total Transaction Value has started well, supported by record July figures.

Costs remain a focus, with up to -$39m of expenses to be taken above the line in FY27.

Management's guidance anticipates first-half PBT growth in Leisure alongside a decline in Corporate, with broader trends expected to improve materially in the second half.
