Toll Holdings (TOL) is in talks with AWB Ltd (AWB) regarding a large wheat transport contract in the Middle East. According to our sources, the discussions were initiated by AWB once it had become clear Toll Holdings would have the approval of the Patrick (PRK) board for a full take over of the company.

Our sources added Toll currently has no presence in the Middle East, but AWB didn’t think that was a problem as the company had signed contracts in the region in the past with transport companies that didn’t own one single truck and that had apparently worked reasonably well for many years.
