Lighten

$2.50

-20.38%

The cost and complexity of Endeavour Group's turnaround remain the key concerns following a weak FY26, when sales rose just 1% y/y to $12.2bn and underlying NPAT fell -15% y/y, Ord Minnett details.

Retail sales improved 4.6% y/y over the first seven weeks of FY27 as price investment supported market share, although the broker questions the sustainability given easy comparables and increased promotional activity.

Higher wage, transformation and One Endeavour costs, alongside increased hotel closures for renovations, drive FY27-FY29 EPS downgrades of -4.9%, -7.2% and -6.9%, respectively.

Lighten rating is retained and the target price is cut to $2.50 from $2.70, with FY27 EPS forecast to decline -10%.

FORECAST
Ord Minnett forecasts a full year FY27 dividend of 11.00 cents and EPS of 18.00 cents.
Ord Minnett forecasts a full year FY28 dividend of 12.00 cents and EPS of 19.00 cents.

Underweight

$3.20

1.91%

Jarden maintains its Underweight recommendation for Endeavour Group with an unchanged target price of $3.20 following a pre-released FY26 financial result featuring underlying EBIT of $845m and underlying net profit after tax of $363m, both in line with expectations and guidance.

Revenue grew 1% to $12.2bn, supported by a retail EBIT contribution of $464m and a hotels EBIT contribution of $462m, while the final dividend was declared at 1.2c.

Management expects cost of doing business inflation to rise in FY27 due to minimum wage increases, higher corporate costs, depreciation and amortisation, alongside transformation operational expenditure.

The analyst notes that higher investment behind the business will likely drive negative consensus earnings revisions and place downward pressure on the share price in the near term.
