Enough about Europe. There's little more that can be said. Next week will simply be a week like any other, with the world held to ransom by the inactivity of European politicians and officials.

Tonight in the US is likely to be a nothing session given the NYSE closes at 1pm and most of Wall Street will be taking a four-day weekend. Something could possibly happen of course – see above.

Next week brings month-end on the Wednesday which can often result in unpredictable trading activity in all instruments. The first of the month sees the round of global manufacturing PMI releases, with Australia, China, the eurozone, UK and US in the frame. It's also unemployment week in the US which could prove even more important than usual given QE3 must be inching closer. The ADP private sector number comes out on the Wednesday and the non-farm payrolls number on the Friday.

Over the course of the week the US will also see new and pending home sales, two house price indices, consumer confidence, the Chicago PMI, construction spending, chain store and vehicle sales and the Fed Beige Book.

Australia will also see a house price index, along with private sector credit, building approvals and retail sales, all ahead of the following week's RBA meeting. Cut or no cut? See above.

Mercifully November brings to an end the annual avalanche of AGMs, albeit there will still be the odd straggler into December. Metcash ((MTS)) will post its interim result on Wednesday.

An estimate of the eurozone's November CPI will be posted on Wednesday night along with unemployment, which could prove important for the ECB policy meeting in the following week. Otherwise, see above.
