Neutral

$9.00

27.84%

First read: UBS notes Pexa Group's FY26 Core EBITDA was 2% ahead of both its forecast and consensus, driven by lower operating costs, while Core NPATA beat by 4%-5%.

Australian EBITDA of $193m was slightly ahead of expectations, while International losses were also better than forecast.

FY27 guidance is the key negative, with revenue of $385m-$415m and the EBITDA midpoint of around $130m sitting -5% and -13% below consensus, respectively, reflecting a weaker property transaction volume outlook.

Importantly, the guidance is slightly better than expected, suggesting the analyst was already positioned for the downturn.

The NZ pilot commencing in October provides a potential new growth opportunity, but UBS considers IPART's final pricing decision, due by 30 September, the much more significant swing factor for earnings from FY28 onwards. Neutral. Target $9.

FORECAST
UBS forecasts a full year FY27 dividend of 0.00 cents and EPS of 21.00 cents.

Upgrade to Neutral from Underweight

$6.90

-1.99%

Jarden adjusts its rating for Pexa Group to Neutral from Underweight with its target price decreased to $6.90 from $9.20 following a weak FY26 result and lower-than-expected FY27 guidance.

The analyst notes no meaningful progress in the UK expansion, leading to a downward revision of long-term UK terminal share assumptions from 35% to 25%.

While Australian volume weakness remains a concern, the broker suggests this may be mitigated by the possibility that IPART lowers the proposed price cut for FY28 to reflect slower activity.

The focus remains on the outcome of the IPART pricing review due in late September, with the potential for further price cuts incorporated through an additional 7% reduction to FY35 estimates.

The rating upgrade to Neutral reflects the view that the –55% share price decline since March has appropriately priced in these operational and regulatory risks.
