The result of the US election has caused some sharp moves within the past few days. Share markets, the US dollar, and Bitcoin have spiked higher, with gold and general commodities pulling back.
The US dollar movements in particular have put pressure on gold and commodities. We looked at the US dollar chart a couple of weeks ago and noted that it was approaching a major resistance level.
With it now in striking distance of that, it will be interesting to see what it does from here and whether the current dips in gold etc are about to end.
Today, we offer a technical view on JB Hi-Fi ((JBH)) shares.
After spending the first half of the year trading sideways, JBH broke free of this range in July and then rallied strongly to over $80.
It then spent much of September-October consolidating that move by trading sideways in a narrow range.
Last week, it broke free from this range. This breakout is a buying opportunity as JBH should now continue to trend higher from here.
Initial stops can be considered back near $80.
