Icarus Signal New Entries For Today

It would appear part of the trading community in Australia has switched focus towards the healthcare sector amidst generally troubled times, biotech stocks in particular. Stocks that have stood out in terms of share market performance in recent sessions include Prima Biomed ((PRR)), Mesoblast ((MSB)) and QRXPharma ((QRX)). The latter one entered the list of stocks trading above consensus target yesterday.

On a day when nearly everything in the market suffered losses in excess of 1%, that surely is something to highlight. QRXPharma has for a while now carried the tag of "quality standout" in a sector that does offer pearls, dogs and pigs dressed up as as future princesses, so it's probably no coincidence the shares have gradually attracted a bigger audience. After all, it's not like small cap resources stocks have offered much upside potential recently.

There are four newcomers in the group of stocks trading in the vicinity of price targets, but guess what? Surprise, surprise – in all four cases this marks a return from trading above target previously. Monadelphous ((MND)), Iress ((IRE)), ARB Corp ((ARP)) and SP Ausnet ((SPN)) have been mentioned in this context before and this probably won't be the last time either.

Finally, the "Dogs of Bridge Street" welcomed two newcomers after yesterday's market carnage; Gunns ((GNS)) and Bathurst Resources ((BTU)). The latter is only covered by Credit Suisse.
