Tonight sees first estimates of March quarter GDP released in the US and UK followed up by the eurozone next week.

Monday is the first of the month which means manufacturing PMI day, but May Day holidays in China, the UK and Europe push those PMIs out to the Tuesday. Markets are closed in those countries on Monday.

Japan then goes on holiday Wednesday through Friday, spreading services PMIs across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The US sees personal income and spending data and PCE inflation next week, along with PMIs, vehicle and chain store sales, factory orders, trade and March quarter productivity. The private sector jobs report on Wednesday leads into non-farm payrolls on Friday.

The Fed will hold a policy meeting on Wednesday at which no rate hike is expected.

The RBA will hold a policy meeting on Tuesday which should deliver more of the same rock-and-hard-place rhetoric. The RBA will also publish its quarterly Statement on Monetary Policy on Friday.

Aside from the PMIs, Australian data next week include the trade balance.

On the local stock front, bank reporting season begins next week. ANZ Bank ((ANZ)) reports on Tuesday, National Bank ((NAB)) on Thursday and Macquarie Group ((MQG)) on Friday, with Westpac ((WBC)) chiming in the following Monday.

AGM season is also upon us, and next week sees Caltex ((CTX)), Santos ((STO)) and Woodside Petroleum ((WPL)) in the frame. Qantas ((QAN)) and Transurban ((TCL)) will host investor days.
