Speculative Buy

$2.30

204.64%

Canaccord Genuity maintains its Speculative Buy rating for Barton Gold with a $2.30 target price following the commencement of an expedited scoping study to assess high-grade underground feed from the Challenger deposit to the Central Gawler Mill.

The study follows a recent resource remodel doubling underground inventory to 230koz at 3.65g/t gold, offering a potential feed solution to replace lost open pit material in the fourth year of the planned operation.

The analyst notes the expanded underground resource presents substantially greater grade and contained-ounce optionality compared to the depleted open pit inventory.

Canaccord leaves baseline financial and production models unchanged ahead of the definitive feasibility study scheduled for the March quarter of 2027.

Future modelling adjustments will likely swap the previously assumed open pit feed for the underground option as further operational and cost details emerge, according to Canaccord.
