Icarus Signal New Entries For Today

FYI | May 25 2011

Daily update on share prices and consensus price targets.

By Rudi Filapek-Vandyck

It was only a matter of time… at a time when all the share market can do is lose more momentum every day… yesterday's price action generated no newcomers as far as stocks trading above consensus target are concerned. We do note, however, that yesterday's highlight QRXPharma ((QRX)) continues to surge, now well above target. However, we also note that QRX's consensus target might be artificially depressed because of JP Morgan's well-below-peers price target for the stock. Were we to take guidance from the other brokers covering the company we'd be inclined to conclude there's further upside potential, still.

The list of stocks approaching price target from beneath grew by five newcomers yesterday. Note that behind Campbell Bros ((CPB)) and Wotif.com ((WTF)) lies share price weakness, not strength as in the three other cases.

Australian Worldwide ((AWE)) has jojo-ed its way back in the Bottom 50 of the Icarus Signal.

Also note the total number of stocks trading above consensus target has been steadfastily in decline as the share market continues its daily retreat, and now sits at 28. HFA Holdings ((HFA)) is furthest above target, but the company is only covered by one stockbroker (UBS).
