With Wall Street having now become concerned about the seeming robustness of the US economy and its implications for Fed policy, as bond yields continue to rise, next week brings data for the CPI, PPI and retail sales, along with industrial production and consumer sentiment.

China’s woes continue, and next week brings August retail sales, industrial production and fixed asset investment numbers.

In Australia we’ll see the NAB business and Westpac consumer confidence reports, and July jobs numbers.

It’s another big week of ex-dividends, meaning ongoing handicaps for each day’s opening. CSL ((CSL)) will kick things off on Monday with a rather large offering.

Syrah Resources ((SYR)) reports earnings next week.
