Upgrade to Outperform from Neutral

$32.70

12.37%

Monadelphous Group's profit came in slightly ahead of consensus. FY27 guidance is for a "consolidation year" after very strong FY26. Macquarie thinks there is modest growth possible given a strong level of recent wins and a higher-than-normal level of committed work.

Management notes a "robust pipeline of opportunities and a positive outlook across all key markets". A key differentiating factor this cycle versus prior, the broker notes, is the diversified nature of work-in-hand and pipeline.

The stock has de-rated in the last six months to a 16% premium to the ASX 200 versus a long-term average of 18%. Macquarie upgrades to Outperform from Neutral. Target falls to $32.70 from $33.00.

FORECAST
Macquarie forecasts a full year FY27 dividend of 118.00 cents and EPS of 136.00 cents.
Macquarie forecasts a full year FY28 dividend of 126.00 cents and EPS of 146.00 cents.

Jarden

3

Neutral

$28.90

-0.69%

Jarden maintains its Neutral rating for Monadelphous Group with its target price decreased to $28.90 from $32.80 following an FY26 core net profit after tax increase of 50% year-on-year to $127m driven by a bring-forward of two years of maintenance and industrial work from iron ore and oil and gas customers.

Operational performance has nevertheless triggered a sharp share price fall viewed by the broker as the start of a de-rating period alongside slower growth expectations for FY27.

Core earnings per share revisions remain modest at -1% across FY27 and FY28.

The analyst highlights that while the company is well-run with an improving free cash flow profile and strong balance sheet, a better risk-reward balance is required before turning more constructive.
